Based in Charlotte, North Carolina, Thomas “Tom” Finke oversees operations at Barings LLC as the chairman and CEO of the organization. In this role, Thomas “Tom” Finke has led the growth of Barings into a global investment management firm with more than $300 billion in assets. Under the guidance of Mr. Finke, Barings LLC operates as a strategic partner of the Milken Institute.

The Milken Institute is a non-profit think tank dedicated to bettering humanity through a range of initiatives, including addressing the challenges of an aging population. For example, the Center for the Future of Aging, which operates as part of the Milken Institute, is currently undertaking research and development programs focused on aging populations and effective community planning through the following three programs.
The Age-Forward 2030 Program: Encourages policymakers to consider how to plan for and develop communities largely comprised of an older population.
The Business of Aging Program: Seeks to highlight how older adults serve as an important talent resource that offers the potential to enhance economic growth in the marketplace.
The Healthy Longevity Program: Serves to provide education about research-backed programs and scientific advancements for living well and extending life.
